PFC COREY KENT RETURNING HOME JULY 9TH

Local hero returning home...
Unless you have been living under a rock, you know the story of Pfc. Corey Kent... Pfc. Kent was severely injured in Afghanistan as a member of The United States Army... Corey (though never having met the young man, I'm starting to feel as if I know him) is from right here in Cape Coral and a graduate of Mariner High School... I'll post below all about what is being done to help Corey, but this is about the morning of July 9th... Corey will be arriving home from Walter Reed Army Medical Center for a brief visit and there is nothing we feel would be more fitting than a huge number of Cape 912 members along with the rest of the community being at Southwest Florida International Airport to welcome him home and show our support... Because his arrival conflicts with our normal 10:00am meeting time the meeting has been rescheduled for 2:00pm the same day in the same location... So lets make every effort to be there, and don't forget to wear your Cape 912 attire...

The U.S. Forces Fund...
Here's a link to that other bloggy thing I do, that explains all about The U.S. Forces Fund and all they are doing to help Pfc. Kent and others...

It is with great pride that I'm able to say that Viking Construction, the company I've been fortunate enough to be employed by for the past twenty two years, is donating all the carpentry labor for the addition to Corey's home...

Cape 912, making a difference...
